The Continental ContiEcoContact 7 is the latest generation of Continental’s efficiency-focused summer tire, designed for both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine vehicles. It prioritizes low rolling resistance, which leads to improved fuel economy and extended EV range, along with low noise levels and reliable grip in both wet and dry conditions.
Key Features & Technology
Enhanced Fuel Efficiency/Range: The tire utilizes a new Green Chili 3.0 rubber compound and Smart Energy Casing technology (using advanced materials in the tire’s structure) to significantly minimize energy loss and internal friction, resulting in very low rolling resistance.
Aerodynamic Design: Inspired by a golf ball’s design, the sidewalls feature an Aero Dimple structure that reduces air turbulence or drag, further conserving energy and improving efficiency.
Quiet Ride: A Silent Pattern tread design with optimized block spacing and angles helps reduce both internal and exterior road noise, especially at city driving speeds, a key comfort factor for quiet EVs.
Safety and Handling: The tailored tread geometry and compound ensure reliable handling and braking, with most sizes achieving high EU tire label ratings (typically ‘A’ for rolling resistance and ‘A’ or ‘B’ for wet braking and noise).

EcoContact 7 S: This “S” (Sport) variant features a different compound that emphasizes enhanced wet grip and dynamic handling, offering greater steering precision for a sportier feel while still maintaining good efficiency.
